CO-ED DEVELOPMENTAL/RECREATIONAL & COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON ARE BEING FINALIZED!!

As BYVC begins the process of planning the 2025 Beach season, below is some information on the Programs that will likely be offered, with rough dates and times. NOTE: Any information provided is subject to change as we finalize details…

All Programs are Co-ed and located at Green Lane Sports Complex in Paris. 8 Green Ln, Paris, ON N3L 3E1.

DEVELOPMENTAL/RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS

All Programs will be 6 weeks long on Wednesday & Friday nights. There are typically 2 Waves, the first starting roughly in mid-May, the other starting in July. Costs for the Programs is being calculated and will be provided soon.

If you have not done so before, you must sign up for TeamSnap using the links provided (once the Programs are set) before registering for the actual Program.

Be prepared to play beach.  Dress for the weather.  No shoes required.  Bring lots of water.  You will need sunscreen and bug spray.

NOTE: We recognize that not all children will enter the pathway at the same age or athletic skill level. Also, not all children will develop at the same rate once they enter. The key is that they are in a program appropriate for their skill level and that they feel comfortable socially. Recommended ages are guidelines only.

Jr. Spikes	9-11	Limit of 42 Participants Basic introduction to individual Beach volleyball skills such as forearm passing, setting, attacks and serving.	$TBD
Sr. Spikes	12-14	Limit of 36 Participants Basic introduction to individual Beach volleyball skills such as forearm passing, setting, attacks and serving.	$TBD
Jr. House League	9-11	Limit of 42 Participants  Builds on skills developed in Spikes in a game play environment on the Beach courts. Junior House League will play 6 versus 6 format.	$TBD
Sr. House League	12-14	Limit of 36 Participants Builds on skills developed in Spikes in a game play environment on the Beach courts. Senior House League will play 4 versus 4 format.	$TBD
High School House League	14-17	Register as a team or sign-up as an individual. 4v4 format, co-ed. Guaranteed 2 30 minute games a week.	$TBD

COMPETITIVE STREAM

The Competitive Program runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 13 weeks from mid-May until Championships. Cost for the Program is being calculated and will be provided soon.

Athletes are expected to play on the OVA Beach Tour.

NOTE: Space in our comp program is limited.  We want to ensure that people enrolled in comp have appropriate skills for their age group. As a result, tryouts are likely in the April timeframe. There is NO cost for tryouts, but you MUST BE registered.

Note: Returning Beach athletes may not have to try out but still need to register!!

Competitive	Open	Target of 12 Pairs Practices are 1.5 hours of training and controlled competition with coaches teaching game concepts, technique, and strategy.  Training groups of 4 athletes per court are created to match athletes of similar experience, skill, competitiveness level, age, and gender.  Tuesdays: Skills night – practice skills and drills to address gaps identified by game play. Thursdays: Game play oriented.	$TBD

ADMINISTRATIVE DETAILS FOR ALL PROGRAMS

Payments:

Payments will be collected through TeamSnap on your credit card.

Refund Policy:

• If you cancel your registration up to 1 week prior to the program start date, a refund of the fee less a $25 admin fee will be issued. Please contact [email protected] if you need to withdraw.
• Refunds for withdrawals within 1 week of the start of the program are at the discretion of the board. For refund consideration, please contact [email protected].
• Once the program has begun, there will be no refunds
• In the event that a participant is unable to attend a class(es), refunds, credits or makeup class(es) will not be offered.
• If the registrant accepts an offer from tryouts for one of our competitive teams, a full refund will be provided for developmental program registrations.

Weather Policy:

All programs will run during the winter regardless of weather with the exception of a school board cancelling a permit. If the school board cancels a permit due to the weather, we will not be issuing refunds, credit, makeup sessions, etc.
